Trip to Turin

Italy is a country very similar to Spain in terms of culture, although one of the most noticeable differences is the meal times and store hours. That said, it has been very easy to adapt. Communication hasn’t been a major issue because if people speak a little slower, most things can be understood.

Impressions of the Country

In Turin, we visited the MAU urban art museum, which is quite beautiful. We also went to the Tutticonnessi office in Toolbox, the volunteer organization we've been helping. On several nights, we went to the city center, where all the nightlife in Turin is concentrated. It's a lively atmosphere, but it ends much earlier than in Spain.

Internship

Most of the time, I worked on refurbishing laptops to help Tutticonnessi, a volunteer organization, with the aim of donating the restored computers to individuals who need them and usually have limited financial resources. As part of this process, we created a basic refurbishment protocol that others can use as a guide. This guide includes an English and Spanish version created by us. On the other hand, I also carried out various repairs and optimizations for the computers at the Didaxé office, the host company that enabled us to collaborate with Tutticonnessi. At the same time, we helped create and integrate an H5P course into Moodle in both English and Italian. Our contribution involved both the integration of the H5P tool with Moodle and the graphic design of the course presentations.

The Company

I felt very comfortable at the company. At most, there were six people in the office, and we mostly worked in pairs. So even if we didn’t directly collaborate on tasks, professional and personal communication was very good with all colleagues, both from Didaxe and Tutticonnessi.
