From June 10 to 11, a group of teachers from the Nicolau Copèrnic and Montserrat Roig schools in Terrassa carried out a visit to several educational centres in France, with the aim of continuing to build international relationships and establishing educational collaboration agreements within the Erasmus mobility framework.
This visit was made possible thanks to the initial contact established during the 3rd Mobility and International Cooperation Seminar organised by the MobilitatFP network, a space that promotes collaboration between vocational education and training centres across Europe.
Throughout the three-day visit, the delegation had the opportunity to learn about several training centres in the city of Rouen, and thanks to the warm welcome and conversations with the French centre representatives, the activity expanded beyond what was initially planned. In addition to the visit to the original institute, we were able to learn about other training centres offering programmes in professional fields such as computer science, international trade, marketing, support for dependent individuals and early childhood education, among others.
This rich variety of training options allowed the mobility coordinators from both schools, together with the internship coordinator from Montserrat Roig, to establish connections and identify points of alignment between the curricula of both countries. The purpose of the visit was to build a bilateral relationship of educational collaboration that enables job shadowing for teachers and the possibility of providing internships and international training for students from both schools.
During conversations with the French centre representatives, new ideas also arose to establish cultural exchanges between students, both in French and Spanish, and to organise visits for Secondary and Baccalaureate groups in order to promote mutual understanding, cultural diversity and language practice. This opens a new stage of potential collaborations that can enhance the global education of our students while offering teachers the opportunity to join an international network of knowledge and best practices.
We are very pleased with the success of this visit and hope it will be only the beginning of a long-lasting cooperative relationship between our centres and those of other European regions.
International mobility is a great opportunity to enrich the academic and professional training of our students, and with initiatives like this, we are confident that many doors can open for future generations.
We will continue working on consolidating these relationships, creating internship opportunities and promoting cultural exchange projects, with the aim of providing our students with an educational experience that goes beyond our country’s borders and opens doors to the wider world.
We hope these collaborations are just the beginning of a promising future full of opportunities for our students and teaching staff.
